TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

Four mechanical configurations for different substation layouts.

LMZ supplies centre-break, double-break, vertical-break and pantograph disconnectors. The choice depends on busbar layout, phase spacing, available substation area and maintenance philosophy.

PRODUCT SCOPE

Centre break, double break, vertical break and pantograph.

Centre Break

Two contact arms open and close the circuit at the midpoint between two insulators; a widely used substation configuration.

Up to 550 kV · Up to 6300 A · Up to 63 kA

Double Break

One moving arm closes on two fixed contacts located on the side insulators, providing a double-break arrangement.

Up to 550 kV · Up to 6300 A · Up to 63 kA

Vertical Break

Vertical operating movement reduces phase-to-phase spacing and is suitable for mobile substations and special applications.

Up to 550 kV · Up to 6300 A · Up to 63 kA

Pantograph

Vertically moving joined half-arms connect to an upper busbar, helping minimize substation area and support bay maintenance arrangements.

Up to 550 kV · Up to 6300 A · Up to 63 kA

SYSTEM APPLICATION

Isolation solutions shaped by bay geometry and maintenance requirements.

Transmission and distribution substations.

Compact substation layouts.

Mobile-substation and special applications.

Busbar arrangements requiring maintenance flexibility.
